Concert Review: VEHICLE Rocks New Hampshire's Cornish Fair

CORNISH, NEW HAMPSHIRE - This music fan spent last Sunday afternooon enjoying longtime, New Hampshire/Vermont rockers VEHICLE, performing live at the Cornish Fair in Cornish, New Hampshire. The weather cooperated nicely and the band put on an entertaining show for the crowd, which just so happened to be peppered with several other great local musicians, all there to enjoy the music.

Featuring Bernie Moss on lead guitar, Keith McCane on guitar and keys, Jim Murphy on bass, Paul Bocchiaro on keys and sax, Gary Spaulding on drums and Roy Alan Brown on lead vocals, the band tore through a cool mix of unique and classic rock covers spanning three decades.

After the energetic opening cover of the 80's Flock of Seagulls classic "I Ran," the energy onstage continued to build with other great renditions of hits such as Grand Funk's "We're An American Band," David Bowie's "Modern Love," Wang Chung's "Dance Hall Days" and the Tears For Fears' radio hit "Everybody Wants To Rule The World"... featuring a classic, spot-on guitar solo from Bernie Moss.

The front-man Brown's vocals were strong throughout, the dueling guitars of Moss and McCane in cohesion, all backed by the driving backbeat of Bocchiaro and Spaulding made for an excellent overall sound... all topped of by the aforementioned Bocchiaro's energetic saxophone accents throughout.

Also during the set, a guest appearance from Vermont fiddler/guitarist extraordinaire Scott Campbell added more spice to the show with his tasty fiddle runs... with all of this great music being tied together through the soundstage production and "front of house" mix provided by Mach One ProSound, with monitoring assistance from Neil Moxham.

Overall, this was a fun and enjoyable show that rocked an enthusiastic audience from start to finish! VEHICLE continues to unite for a few select shows each year, so be on the lookout for the next show announcement... you don't want to miss out on seeing this veteran, classic rock band!
